So all of that aside I have a very nice 1982 vintage Honda CB650SC NIGHTHAWK, that I restored TO AT LEAST 95 % i would say. The bike was already really nice with super low miles at 19K. This bike is perfect for beginners and the experienced. very snappy 650cc 4 cylinder that really pulls good for the day !! it hink they were rated around 70 hp, super smooth tranny fast revving very quiet mechanically and sounds great for oem exhaust, nice deep tone not that bumble bees you hear today ! very nimble and handles nice. so this has been a long haul for me i really put alot of time and detail in this bike and left just a few things for new owner strictly for preferance reasons like the tires are good for a year but the front is cupped some and you can feel it a little in ride. and a few dry spots and the rear is on it last year tread wise, but some people are picky with tires so thats why i didnt put new on and helps keep cost low to sell at my very low reserve. Anyway and the oem factory paint on tank and tail and side covers is not terrible and oem so i wanted to leave go to.i usauallty paint them too,but again it is nice enough to let go, nothing at all to be embarassed about and keep res. low again. it has typical chips and a few scratches thoughout but still shines pretty nice and has all oem stickers with a few blemishes as well. anyway, again up to the new owner if you would want a new color , but again nothing to be ashamed of especially when you at rest of bike. inside of tank has typical very light surface rust of the year but will fade away when a few full tanks of gas goes thru ya know, its just from sitting empty, you can swipe away with finger more less. i rinsed and then just from sitting while restoring it got that light coating. the tank does have one small ding in it too as shown top rt side not bad. pretty much everything on bike was either re painted or lots of hours of labor in refurbishing like the aluminum and such, many hours but as you can see it paid off, this bike is almost as clean as one bought new and ridden 50 miles i can assure that. look at pics. anyway. i included pics to show it in a stage just to show it was not a quick touch up. the whole frame was repainted with gloss black paint and the whole engine had typical fading and chips from the years so the whole engine was also painted as it should be with a nice factory look high heat satin balck paint that looks awesome, like new as you can see... tank emblems were repainted then polished where they should be and cleared. as you can see gauges and all controls look like new almost. the front master cylinder is brand new, mirrors and battery, plugs and carb rebuild are all new. a few new factory honda jets were installed where they were sketchy. carbs are tuned and synched, all new fuel lines, vent hoses and all. front brakes work but could use a little more bleeding, sometimes they like sit a little then do it again. oem seat is almost perfect with a small slit on left side you really gotta look for. chrome all over bike is pretty nice the inside of one or two headers and a few spots on mufflers and shocks have a tiny amount of pitts but as you can see overall look awesome, im very rough on being specific, so remember that !! its kinda like from 6 feet away you would never notice kinda stuff, ya know. one muffler did have a small random hole in it towards botton that i fixed and touched up w. high heat silver, again not real noticable. all aluminum parts on bike like carb tops and bottoms, fork tubes, valve covers and exhaust flanges at headers have been polished to look like new as you can see. the whole engine area in general looks just awesome i think, countless hours of labor in this baby. bike starts very easy and purrs like a kitten, awesome sound for factory exhaust, nice deep tone. clutch and tranny work very smooth. all turn sigs, lights and all work good. speedo and tach work fine , no leaks anywhere on bike. if you look in pics where is all broke down you can see just how clean this bike is, with new tires it will really ride nice. like i said and body paint if you really want but i think she still looks pretty good to let go. its all up you. i think overall you would be hard pressed to find a nicer 82 hawk overall unless it never left home ya know !! anyway thats about it, even with all the work, time and money in this, i set reserve very fair and low. got other projects to tackle and want this girl to go to new owner and get ridden and shown off, check out pics guys thats why i put 3x the amount of pics most do, so you can see, plus pretty proud of how great it turned out it really does mean something to me i do this cause of my love for vintage bikes not just to make money which i dont try to get a ton for them. , its very nice !! see my other auctions coming up for more vintage restores... thanks and please read all rules and details above and be sure you can follow before bidding......CLEAR TITLE READY TO GO. Dont miss this baby !! thanks
