Vehicle Detail

1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V, Must Sell!!! Absolutely MINT, White, MUST SELL!!! LOW Reserve The 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V was the last full size personal luxury car built in the US. With the end of production in 1979, also ended an era of quality and luxury that has not been seen since. The styling is regarded by auto enthusiasts as the last-word in refinement. With the long bonnet and short trunk, it brings to mind the finest styling in coach making of the 1930's. It was produced at a time when cars still had steel in them, chrome rather than rubber and plastic. It has Wedgwood blue crushed velvet seats, unworn, blue headliner also spotless along with the trunk. It is all original, down to its quadraphonic sound and 8-track player. The vinyl top was professionally replaced in 2008. There is no damage inside or out. No rust, no dents. It has been maintained by an antique auto enthusiast throughout its lifetime. The engine uses no oil and runs like it did when it rolled off the assembly line. All of the belts were just replaced so there is a minor squeak coming from a belt when the care is warming up that will go away after a month of driving and the belt wears in. The hour hand on the clock has vibrated loose and needs to be tightened. It has approximately 85,000 very easy miles on it. It comes with 7 mounted matching tires on the turbine alloy wheels, extra side chrome, extra hood ornament and no mechanical or body "quirks" or "surprises". If you are tired of cars that have no personality, no dignity and no solid quality, then this is the car for you. If you prefer the generic, lifeless, lemming-like toys produced today, then this car might be avoided. Some specifics of this car are as follows: Engine: 400CID 2V, V-8 Bore and Stroke: 4.00 x 4.00 inch Comp, Ratio: 8.0.1 HP: 159 at 3400 RPM Torque: 315 ft-lbs at 1800rpm Length: 6.1 meters Carburetor: Motorcraft 2160. I have spent most of the last 53 years living overseas. I requested my aunt to order this car to my specifications when I was abroad and during times I was in the US I drove each and every of the 85,000 miles on it myself, with pleasure. It comes with its original owners manual and some miscellaneous service documents. I am now getting on in years and feel it is time to pass it on to a collector. I will be moving overseas again in about a month and need to sell this car to the highest bidder right away. Its entire life has been spent in the dry environment of Colorado and is in pristine condition for its age. Please email me with any questions prior to bidding. I will reply within 24 hours. Payment is required within 48 hours of sale. Returns are not accepted. As you can see from my feedback I am new to eBay, so I am happy to supply personal references immediately. I am available to speak by phone if you like. Just email me and we can make arrangements for a telephone call. The car should be picked up at my home in Denver Colorado for title transfer following cleared payment. Other arrangements can be made at the buyers expense if desired. Car must be picked up within 10 days of close of sale as I am moving overseas. This car will be sold for a fraction of its value. ***ATTENTION BIDDERS*** I can be reached by telephone should there be any questions, just give me a ring on 303-758-1887 Jon
