Vehicle Detail
88 Cabriolet in good condition. I have been debating on selling this for a couple of years, and now I am going to do it. It has mainly been my weekend car for the last four years. Before that it was my daily driver for about two or three years. True mileage unknown, when I purchased it the odometer was not working, now it does. It was used to drive fifty miles round trip, and performed very well. It is no speed demon or race car, but is a lot of fun to drive. I put beilstein sport struts all the way around with lowering springs, rides and handles very well. Tires are in very good shape with about 80% tread left. I have everything except the rear spindles to convert it to rear disc brakes. It has cross drilled rotors on the front. The power steering went out a couple of years ago, but I have driven it as it is. I do have a manual steering rack that will go with the vehicle, along with other misc. parts. As stated the car the car does run well, it is probably ready for a good tune-up, which I am thinking of doing before the auction ends. I know it will be asked if this car can make it on a long journey. My answer would be I dont know. I would like to think it would but it is an old vehicle that is driven pretty much just driven during the summer. I can answer any questions you may have. I feel this would make a great car for restoring or just driving as is. On May-12-10 at 09:06:31 PDT, seller added the following information:I wanted to add that the top is in good shape, it does need a good cleaning. The seal that connects to the windows on the top does leak when you open the door. Also the b-pillar seal on the drivers side does need to be replaced. I never really drove it much when it was raining so I didn't care about it. I do have the white boot that covers the top, it needs cleaned also.
