1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ Low Reserve!! This cherokee is my daily driver. I commute about 50 miles a day. It has never let me down. The Jeep runs and drives extemely well. Its always been a vehicle that I could count on. Its been great having th 4wd in the snow. I bought this jeep off Ebay 2 years ago from a young woman who drove it from Colorado to San Francisco. Her father bought the Jeep from The Colorado Dept of Corrections. I felt better buying it because I know state vehicles are well taken care of. The engine does not smoke leak, or burn oil. All belts and hoses are in good condition. Ive been told these jeep straight 6 engines last forever. Its had routine maintenance since Ive owned it and will pass CA smog. The transmission doesnt leak. It shifts and works as it should. A fluid and filter change were done about 6 months ago. The transfer case works well. The fluid in the front and rear has also been changed about 6 months ago. I have replace both front bearing assemblies, all brakes, and had an alignment done within the last 2 months. I have reciepts for all work. It has a Rough Country 3.5 lift with new Rancho shocks. The tires are 33 inch Big-O X/T's with about 80% tread left. The jeep steers, stops and drives nice down the freeway. As you can see from the pics, there is a dent in the front bumper and a crack on the rear hatch. There are also numerous dents and scratches all over the Jeep. The clear coat is coming off the hood . The fender trimming is rough. The body shows age thats typical on most 4wd vehicles. The rack on top comes in handy for camping trips. I had the fuel pump replaced about a year ago, a few months after that, the fuel gauge stopped working. Im not sure if the problem is related. The interior is in decent shape. The rubber floor mat is in good condition as well as the dash and CD player. The seats have some stains, and the drivers seat has a cigarette burn in it. The Jeep was obviously smoked in at one time. The amp in the rear compartment pic is not included. The a/c blows cold. Ive driven this Jeep all over the place, and its always been a vehicle I could count on. If you have any questions, or would like to see it, please let me know. Thanks for looking.
