Vehicle Detail
This is is rare and hard to find 1966 GT 2 dr hardtop. It is a rolling chassis. It came from the factory with 335 HP S code 390 V-8 motor with floor shift manual transmission. It also has a extremely rare rear mounted antenna. less than 1 % of the 1966 fairlane had this option and it goes with the car. This car also had rare and desirable GT woodgrain wheel. The body has been restored and painted dark blue and has new vinly top. The floor pan is rust free- no holes. The car has the factory cut for the floor shifter. The torque boxes are also rust free. There is no signs of this car ever being wreaked and repaired. The glass is all present not broken. front fenders are rust free and dent free, show no sign of of bondo. The hood is rust free and dent free and shows no sign being repaired. The top is also dent and rust free. The car still has very nice original head liner in it. The body and doors are very straight, with signs of waves. I have not notice any sign of body damage or excessive bondo. This car is ready to be restored or customized to your likes, This is nice solid body with some minor rust in the inner wheel wells and trunk area. I guarantee this to be GT body with clear GT title and GT numbers. The body numbers match the title and door tag. This not a GT clone. The car comes with original bucket seats and back seat and the interior parts such as door panels, GT dash parts, console with shifter, dash pad and exterior parts such grille, headlight assemblies and bezels, tail lights. This car comes with rare and desirable GT steering wheel . The buyer has the option to purchase a GT hood, I cannot not include it with the car as it is not mine. You can inquire concerning it. Unfortunately I do not have original drive train. I am letting this rare and hard to find GT go for 1995.00. Please how nice the interior is. Spend $450 on carpet and front seat covers and the interior is finish. All the exterior trim is very nice, no dents or dings. Drop in the engine of your chioce and you will have a highly desirable car worth $15000 to $25000. They only made 33,015 GT and GTA in 1966, and of the 33,015 only approximately 15% were GT's. When you factor in the fact that car had extemely rare factory rear antenna and rare GT woodgrain steering wheel. You have extremely low production number car, I estimate no higher 1 in 20 car. The factory hole in the rear passenger is there and not modified. Do not miss the opportunity to own this rare car. If you notice any exterior or interior piece that not shown please inquire. Please email me or call me if you have any questions. THe interior and rare GT woodgrain wheel that comes with this car makes this easy car to restore Even more you will not be spending lots of money and time trying to find nice exterior and interior trim pieces as it is all here. The plastic trim that detoriate can be bought reproduction. I provide information where to get the repro parts such as upholstery and miscellanous parts.
