Offered for your consideration is this mostly original 1959 Cadillac 63 Series Coupe DeVille . If your interested in owning this make and year, this car is a do NOT miss. In most cases a car looks better in pictures. in this case you’ll be pleasantly surprised that it looks just as good in person. This car is just spectacular. The exterior is Dover White code # 12 , over Gotham gold code #40. The paint is factory original except for some touch up which is confined to the bottom portions of the sides of the car. The color used is just slightly off. If you are not looking most would not notice. The upper portion of the passenger fender can use to be feathered and touched up. Included with this sale is a pint of PPG lacquer in the exact shade. I had this mixed myself under my own watchful eye. The car has its original black and white interior that is still soft and supple , including original carpeting, original floor mats and original dash pad. And by original I mean factory installed in 1959, NOT an ‘original style’ replacement. The combination of Gotham Gold with black and white alone make this car virtually one of a kind since most cars ordered in Gotham Gold had the butterscotch color interior. The chrome is original and in fantastic condition. The car is out of an 18 year storage from an exclusive private collection of only 1959 Cadillacs in Florida. With 34,556 miles on the odometer this is one of the lowest mile examples available anywhere. The destination markings are still on the frame rails . This automobile comes with documents dating back to it's purchase at 'Lockwwod Motors Inc." of Peekskill N.Y. I have all of the receipts for repairs done over my ownership of the car. Recently, every system of the car has been gone over with a fine tooth comb by me to insure it is 100% operational. All the fluids have been changed . The battery is a correct series A.C. Delco . The tires are new radials made to look like bias ply . I had the tires custom made to match the width of the whitewall on the original spare still in the trunk . The trunk compartment is outstanding . This Cadillac came to me with even the original heater hoses and clamps still installed. I replaced these with the original style ribbed hose. I was able to see that the engine was painted with these in place by the over spray on the hoses themselves. During my work in detailing the engine compartment, all this has been duplicated down to the tiniest detail . The clamps are not replacements but the originals put back in place. I did this with every nut and bolt I touched. When I got it, this car still had the original exhaust on it with the factory original sound deadening "Flex Pipe" covered engine pipes and date coded mufflers. The engine pipes have been duplicated down to the tiniest detail including the "flex pipe sleeve" . On the show field at the "Cadillac Nationals" this would count on the points card . I had resonators hand crafted to the exact specifications as is the rest of the exhaust hand made . Under the hood this car has been detailed to duplicate exactly the way the car was manufactured by Cadillac. Some areas that were in excellent condition under the hood were cleaned and left original. Any paint applied to the engine is aircraft quality by Bill Hirsch . I used thinner so the paint absorbed into the pores of the castings for a thin , crisp ,original look . The engine paint is an exact match . Some areas are just touched up so it is a combination of new and original. I do the touch up using my thumb to blend the paint . The fuel tank has been replaced with a new and exact part. After 50 years this was a precaution to preserve the car. The radiator and heater core were recored , bench tested and and reinstalled by me. The original tanks were reused. Many areas of the car are absolutely benchmark – as new. This is an amazing example . It runs and drives as new , it is turn key . The radio works as does the power windows and seat . The chrome trim on the dash and interior is almost flawless . As the years go by it has become clear that the 1959 Cadillac is and will remain one of the most collectible and valuable cars for the long-term. The car has a clear title .
