Vehicle Detail
This was the sweetest little MR2 until I got rear-ended. I rebuilt the engine less than 10,000 miles ago. Bored out, rebuilt cylinder head, new bearings, gaskets, timing belt, water pump. I also had the fuel injectors professionally cleaned and balanced. I put a new front seal in the automatic transmission while I had the engine out. The tranny is good, shifts nice. It had a new paint job about 3 years ago. There are some OK BSA wheels on it, the tires are not so good. You can drive it out of here. I put it in planned non-op so there will be no penalties there. The interior is nice. There are some TRD seats just sitting in it, not mounted. This MR2 has the sunroof, ground effects, and the clear plastic spoiler over the rear window. I put another tail light on so it would be drivable. Bring your own battery, the one in the pics doesn't go with it. I should also mention that the engine is the 7-rib 4AGE. This engine is the later model and has a beefed up crankshaft and block, and high compression pistons. The engine also has the small-port head which is more desirable for its responsive performance. I used an aluminum adapter to make this head work with the TVIS manifold. The adapter goes in place of the TVIS butterfly valves. The brakes are good, both the rotors and pads. It stops straight and smooth. I put a new fuel pump in it a couple of years ago too. This MR2 would be great for parts, or you could fix it and drive it. The engine is excellent, the transmission works good, and it can be driven.
