Hi ! Up for sale is our 2001 Volkswagen TDI. This car is/was our daily driver until 3 days ago, when a family friend passed a car to us. The automatic transmission in the this car is currently behaving itself, but in the past has locked itself out to where it would not come out of second gear. So at this point you should consider THE TRANSMISSION WILL NEED TO BE REBUILT IN THE NEAR FUTURE. As I stated earlier however, this car was being used seven days a week and everything works on the car as it should. Oil has always been changed and there has been plenty of parts replaced on it as they needed to be. The Good: 37mpg around town with A/C on. honestly. 41-43 on highway. Has always been dealer maintained The Bad: Needs transmission rebuild Probably needs 2 front struts as ride quality has deteriorated recently. The Ugly: Numerous large paint chips have peeled off on front fenders and trunk lid. Small areas of rust and rust though on tops of front fenders I will be posting more photos of the car by Monday. The car is located in Chicago Illinois. If you feel adventuresome you could fly into O'hare Airport and PROBABLY drive this car home. ( This is at your discretion, however.)
