Revised 05/02/2010: We had this listed as a GTO, but since it has a state assigned vin number on the title we aren't sure if it's a true GTO or not. It does have the 242 stamped on the data plate on the firewall though. Hi! Thanks for stopping by and checking out our 1969 Pontiac with hideaway headlights. Very fair starting price with no reserve!!! History is unknown. My husband bought this car in 2003 and drove her for part of the summer. Steering was tight and handled great! But the motor that's in it (Pontiac 326) has a bad case of blow by and is not working. Needs a new motor and would have to be trailered to your destination. Transmission shifts good, unknown if it's a 350 or 400. The hideaway headlights do work, but you'll need to get a new switch for them. One hood spring is weak, but we'll give you a set of 2 good used hood springs for this repair. The drivers side seat has a bit of a slant to it from use. It might just need to be re-bolted or adjusted. Upholstery looks like dark blue crushed velvet from the 60's and 70's. This car has a clear title and no vin tag on the dash. The previous owner thought that maybe the dash was replaced and this is why the title has a State Assigned Vin number. There's a red tag on the inside of the drivers door that says REPLACEMENT and matches the last 7 digits of the title. This is not a matching number car, but she's still got potential!!! The interior is in good vintage condition except for the headliner which is a little rough. The body is in fair to good vintage condition. Both quarter panels do have some "cancer" and should be replaced. Lots of pictures provided. If you need more pictures or more information or would like to look at this car please contact me.
