This 1972 VW was created by removing the center "door-section" of the car, moving the front and rear sections together, chopping the top, and creating a new convertible top. The wheelbase is 60". The car handles and drives like any 1972 VW, except it is a little peppier. All 4 fenders are new, as are the chrome wheels and modified running boards. The top is power lifted, and one steps over the side to enter the car. The key on the back is electrically driven and turns slowly as you drive. This car is in excellant, like-new, condition. This car was professionally built, taking more than 400 hours to complete. The interior is naugahyde, color keyed to the exterior surf green. The car was dubbed the "Buggette" by the owner's grandchildren. This car was used primarily to transport the owner's grandchildren to the ice cream store. It was also used in parades and shows. Up to three little grandchild bottoms could be packed in beside grandpa. Those bottoms are now in college so it's time for a new grandpa to delight his grandchildren.
