1964 Ford Fairlane ThunderBolt Tribute! DRIVE TRAIN NEW 482ci, Medium riser, aluminum Pond block, Scat billet lightweight 4.25 crank, Carillo 6.7 rod's w/Chevy journals, JE 13:1 piston's, Edelbrock medium riser aluminum heads with a stage 2 port job, 2.19 intake & 1.76 exhaust valves, Dove “tunnel wedge” intake manifold. The motor is topped with dual 750 cfm carbs. The cam is a roller with .700 lift 110 deg. lobe centers. This is a BRAND NEW motor that was assembled and dyno-tuned by Robert Pond. The output of this motor is 725HP / 640 lbft @ 6500 rpm! We have the dyno sheets, only 3 passes on new motor. Ran a 6.28 @ 109 mph in 1/8 mile - should be good for 9.80s @ 136mph! PA C4 transmission w/8” stall converter. Trans was recently rebuilt by Len Schneider with all the latest updates and modifications. Rear-end is Mark Williams lightweight spool with through bolt case, 40 spine Mark Williams gun drilled axles and 3:89 gear ratio. Front Disc brakes, rear drum. Radio delete, cigarette lighter delete. Aluminum radiator, 10-point chrome molly cage certified until 10/09, 8 gallon fuel cell with Magna fuel 500 pump, magna fuel regulator, -10 line front to back. Crites tow bars. Chris Alston Ladder bars with Afco shocks (double adjustable) in the rear, QA1 double adjustable shocks in the front. Weld Dragstar wheels, Moroso 15 x 4.5 in the front. Phoenix 29.5 x 10.5 x 15 in back. BODY Car’s paint is Venetian Yellow and it’s in good shape, there is a lot of original paint on this car! Fiberglass front fenders, hood and front bumper. Interior is Fawn Gold like original T-Bolt cars. Seat covers are from an original Thunderbolt and are in good shape, rubber floor mat (Crites). Car has repro air box from Mark Mullen enterprises in Canada with correct air tubes, complete with Crites Ram Air induction kit. Crites shock tower relocation kit with Crite lower cross member (oil pan clearance), Crites transmission cross member. Rear fender wells are extended as per Dearborn Steel Tube Co. specs (not mini-tubbed). Glass has been changed to Lexan; rear is still factory glass with factory clips. All regulators removed for weight reduction. All undercoating has been removed, original headliner (white sun visors removed). Car is still equipped with the back seat as were the factory T-Bolt cars. Car is windshield wiper delete, and wiper motor delete. It weighs in at 2,900 lbs. BONUS! The dash has been signed by Gas Rhonda, Phil Bonner, Hubert Platt, Jess Tyree, Dick Brannon and Butch Leal! 2009 Performance: #2 qualifiers at California Hot Rod reunion last year. Car runs consistent 1/8 mile times of 6.20 – 6.30 and 9.75-9.90 at 137 mph in the 1/4, with 60’ times of 1.32 seconds – IT'LL RUN LIKE THIS ALL DAY LONG!
