Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is a 1969 Dodge Charger. This is a real "Barn-Find", found in Dallas, TX. This is an extremely solid, dry car. It was kept under a car cover in a barn for the last 20 years! The prevoius owner removed the engine, trans and seats and never did anything else. These parts are long-gone, but I have replaced them with other ones. This car is by far the easiest, most solid Charger project I've seen in years. The only reason it's for sale is that I dont have room for it. ( I have 7 other 1969 Charger projects in the works now.) I WILL BE ADDING MORE PICS THIS WEEK! BODY: The body of this car is amazing. It is wearing most of it's original white paint. The doors are solid. The fenders are solid, only needing some dents "massaged" out. The floors are excellent! The drivers rear 1/4 is solid except for a couple minor spots behind the tire needing attention. The passenger rear 1/4 has some dents that need worked out, but is otherwise solid. Hood and deck lid are nice. The trunk floor needs replaced (see pics), but the trunk extentions are fine. The frame is excellent front to back! -I removed the original black vinyl top, sanded the metal, and applied an epoxy primer. The grill is mostly complete, but should be restored. ( I have other grills available as well.) I media blasted the undercarriage to bare metal (see pics) to show how clean the floors and frame really are. Then, I sprayed the undercarriage with a black epoxy primer to prevent any rust. INTERIOR: The black interior is very complete! -( I removed the old carpet and took pics of how solid the floors are.)- I cleaned the floors, applied white epoxy primer, and installed NEW black carpet. (The pics show how the floors looked without the carpet). I installed black bucket seats from a '68 Charger. These are in good driver quality condition. The door, side and rear panels are in excellent original condition. The dash is complete, including the factory radio! The headliner is present, but has some loose spots. DRIVETRAIN: This car comes with a big block 383" V-8 with auto trans that was pulled last week from a RUNNING 1968 Dodge Polara. The rear end is the stock 8-3/4" posi. The engine compartment is unmolested. It is complete including the harness, mounts, throttle linkage, power steering, vacuum lines, water lines, and most of the A/C components. WHEELS: This car comes with the original factory (magnum 500 style) Road Wheels with NEW tires. The 18" American Racing Torque Thrust 2 wheels pictured are not included, but may be negotiated for. OVERALL: This is so worthy of a restoration. It is by far the most COMPLETE and SOLID Charger project I have seen in years! It would make an excellent father/son/daughter project. You could make this car run with a weekends work. ...Keep watching my ebay ads for other '69 Chargers including a '69 R/T with Factory sunroof, and a '69 R/T 4-speed car! NOTE: Bidders must have at least 10+ feed back to bid on this car. ( unless you call me first!) This car is sold "AS-IS,WHERE-IS". There are no warranties expressed or implied. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. ( I might be able to assist. I have a truck and trailer that will deliver for $1.25 per loaded mile.) There is a $500 deposit due IMMEDIATELY at the end of the auction, with the balance due within 3 buisness days of auctions end. (You may use paypal if you want.) I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime, for any reason. I have a clear title for this car in my name. Call me if you have any questions at: (734)-341-3186. Thanks, Jeff. (734)-341-3186.
