This 1966 VW Beetle Classic has had extensive rework. Prior owner did restoration to give great appearance but did not complete the 12V conversion. The 12V conversion (flashers/turn signals/etc) has been completed by JUSBUGS shop. See pictures for appearance features such as stock bumpers, lights, shifter, front-end, muffler etc. Former owner had a California front end (2 inch reduced axle with adjustable height creating different size tires and rough ride). installed in the restoration. I wanted a stock VW with improved ride and steering. Also, the prior owner did not include a working heater which is not stock feature. Also, radio does not work. I have it to include with the car but have been told it is too old and not worth repair. The actual miles on the car is unknown and assumed to be greater than that on the current odometer reading. Back seat heater vents are manually operated. The following repairs/upgrades have been completed by JUSBUGS shop to restore the car to stock features: *Rebuilt Transaxle installed, New fan shroud for heater air, New 165R-15 tires (note the upgraded rims), New shocks all four wheels, Replaced California reduced axle front-end with stock front-end for improved ride and steering, Replaced brake reservoir, New shift reduction kit, New stock muffler/heater boxes/tailpipes/heater cables for heater operation, New firewall kit, New seatbelts, New brakes, New left rear fender to cure dent, This bug runs great with smooth clutching. All lights are operative and car has current inspection decal. ;No visible rust to contend with. The 40 HP 1300 stock engine is 30 plus mpg. Paint on top in one place has minor flaking probably from storage by prior owner. All other paint is acceptable. See photo gallery. This little car has great appearance and runs good. I purchased before retirement to commute to work when gas was over $4.00 per gallon. A little effort will bring it to SHOW quality. It really turns eyes around town.
