Vehicle Detail

We have here a beautiful, well maintained Mercedes 450SLC. It was bought new by the owner of the Johnsone Publications Ebony and Jet magazine. It has been gone through its regular maintainence since the day that it was bought, with the original Mercedes dealer of Chicago. The car was always stored in a temperature controlled garage for safe keeping. Due to this we have a strong running, straight driving, clean automobile. I also kept it in heated garage of my own after purchasing it myself. I also have the registration papers, manuals, and original metal warranty plates, and all the records for this car and are available with it. The interior of this car is immaculate. It is super clean and looks nearly new. It still has that fresh Mercedes smell. Although it had been driven so often in the past, it is nearly impossible to tell so. All the gauges and dash buttons still work. Even the original radio/cassette player still do their jobs as they should. The car has sheepskin seat covers and floor mats that were ordered for the car, which is what has helped to keep the interior look like new. All the electrical are in working order on the inside and the outside as well. The engine of the car is very strong. It had a full tune up about a three years ago. This included not only spark plugs and wires but, the injectors, the motor mounts, distributor cap and rotor, transmission pan gasket, and the differential cover. It drives flawlessly with plenty of power. It gets up and goes. It also is a very smooth ride. Drives and stops straight. I have been running it on premium fuel since I aquirred it. Simply put, it drives as a Mercedes should. This year after I took it out of storage it ran and drives like it always has, except for running a slight bit rough on idle, which tells me it may need a small tune up. The other thing noticed is that the when we push the climate control button, the air sometimes blow ice cold, and sometimes it does not work. May be a dirty switch. The car's exterior looks great. The frame and floor are solid. The rest of the car is solid as well, except for a couple spots where moisture somehow accumulated and caused rust bubbling. These are by the rear wheel well and front light.(please view in pictures) Everywhere except these apparent areas are solid. At any glance the car is beautiful. The chrome is still shining, including on the premium wheels. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me. Thank you and happy bidding.
