If you are wanting a CLASSIC Mercedes Benz 280 in extremely nice condition, then you need this beauty! The pictures show how nice the paint, upholstery and body is. It has newer Michelin tires and no scratches on any of the hubcaps, new custom carpet, trunk mat. Seat upholstery is good as can be seen in the pictures. It has been repainted in the distant past and it is still in good shape. It’s always been garaged. The dash top is in good condition but has a small ¼” crack. The steering wheel is in very good condition. All the power windows work great. Also has sun roof. The paint color is a light blue. It has the Mercedes Benz tool satchel in the trunk as well as the owners books, radio instructions, and Midas Muffler paperwork.. The actual mileage is not known but it shows 43,xxx miles. When I turned in the old North Carolina title to DMV to have it changed into my name, the title was dated 1975. So I know for a fact that the same family owned it from 1975 to 2010 and lived here in Charlotte, NC. I would not be afraid to take off tomorrow on a trip with it. Serial # 114.060-12-004154. Mfg. date 9/72. There are a couple of things that need attention: turn signal lever does not stay down. You have to hold it L/T or R/T to get the blinkers to flash. A/C needs a switch or something -- I jumpered the compressor and it works OK and the lines get cold but it won’t stay running. I just had the carburetion worked on by AutoHaus MB but notice sometimes it still idles rough. Also, the L/S outside mirror is loose. You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner classic 1973 Mercedes Benz 280. Pickup is at Waxhaw, NC which is near Charlotte.
