Vehicle Detail

I just listed this bus for 2500.00. I had over 700 views and 22 people watching the item. No bids thou. What I can gather from this is thatthere is plenty of interest, but my price must be too high. I want to see this VW Bus as is quickly. I have made a buy it now price $300.00 lower than I was asking and a starting bid of 1999.00, thats 500 less than I was asking. So for the next 3 days, you could buy it now or get in contact and I will take BEST OFFER. I looked for the best offer option for my auction but did not see it, so if you want to make me an offer: go for it thru ebay or email. If we come to an offer agreement, we will run it thru ebay to follow ebay guidelines. so heres the details:This is a 1972 VW bus. It is decent for its age, but needs some work to be very nice. what it needs:I have not started it in a few years. It has been sitting for a few years now. When I parked it it was running. Two small things it needs now: The engine needs a new battery, it did run when I took the battery out for another vehicle a couple years ago. I would put a battery in and make sure it runs for the winning bidder. If for any reason it would not run, you can cancel the bid. I'm sure it would run with a battery though. I just want to get a buyer before I do any small work that would be agreed upon by the buyer, being two things. A battery and break pads. These will be installed after the winning bid, but before the vehicle is delivered or picked up. If a buyer would really want me to start it before they bid, and they were a serious potential buyer, I will put a battery in and start it to insure them it will start. The body is in decent shape for a 72. It does have a few rusts spots. The biggest 3 rust spots in the body only on one side for some reason near the bottom of the body that would need attention to make the body more perfect. I took photos of these spots up close. There is other small rust spots here and there, but nothing major. I tried to take photos of all the parts on the body that is imperfect. The interior is OK too. It is complete, but could use a new pop up net. The seats in the front have rips from being old, but the seats in the back are in good condition, other than a couple of stains. the good stuff:I have put over 1500.00 in the engine alone. It has dual carbs and the previous owner told me it was a porche engine in it. I can not verify that as a fact because I don't know a lot about stock VW engines. I only know this engine came in the van when I bought it, and I had new dual carbs put in, and some other work done to get it running good. I drove it for a few years and then parked it. I never took it very far, but on the trips I would take to town, it never broke down on me. I didn't drive it every day, but maybe a couple times a week. It is a 4 speed manual transmission. Shifts good. The interior is the original one. It has a laydown seat, another seat, a table, a refrigerator and sink (thats in there, but not hooked up...) a cabinet, the celing is a thin wood. The windows open up good and it is a pop top (needs new net thou, this one has rips and is old), also has a roll out hammok you can tie up, but I don't know how strong it would be to hold a person. It is original fabric, and not sure how strong it would be at this age. So, this vehicle does show its age in various places, but for being 38 years old it is OK. I would like to sell the vehicle as is (with the only additions being a new battery and new break pads I will put on for the winning bidder before it is delivered or picked up). I would like to see if this van sells as is. If no one wants it as is, I will do some body work, repaint it and relist it for a higher price. I do not know what the different books value the vehicle, but I am basing the sale price on what I have put into it and what I would like to get out of it. The starting bid will be 2500.00. Please contact me with any questions through ebay, email: jag77jag@gmail.com or by text message to phone number 5404707781. The vehicle is located in Crimora, VA zip code 24431. I would be willing to deliver the vw bus anywhere up to 200 miles for cost of gas and 50.00 dolley rental fee that I'd have to pay since I don't own a dolley or trailer. I would deliver to the winning bidder for those conditions. Any farther, I would consider but please contact and ask it over 200 miles. Still may deliver farther for gas cost if sell for over 2500.00.Thanks and happy bidding!
