This 1969 Ford LTD was manufactured in Ford's Los Angeles plant December 6, 1968. It has always been in Southern California. There is some corrosion on the pan under the battery tray, as expected after 40 years. This car was in terrible shape when we bought it from the original owners, but had not been involved in a collision. We did the following: 1. Remanufactured Ford 390 from Jasper Engines in November, 2006. 2 barrel Autolite carburetor. 2. Rebuilt C6 transmission. 3. New suspension (ball joints, shocks, etc.) 4. New interior and vinyl roof 5. New paint (original color was jade with a white vinyl roof). We replaced the color with Ford's Acapulco Blue, an option available in 1969. 6. Driver quality OEM mag wheelcovers, also optional in 1969 from Ford. 7. Dual exhaust. There is less than 3,000 miles on the new power train. She prefers premium fuel, but adjustments in timing might make her run on regular fuel okay. There is no shortage of power in this car! With all we have done to this car, we have invested over $20,000. We are forced to sell due to current economic conditions. What this car needs: 1. A home where she is the queen. 2. New vacuum hoses and cold air actuator in the A/C. We will include the new actuator with the sale. It needs to be installed under the windshield cowling. 3. We include a working AM radio, but she needs new speakers. This car would be great if you have the radio retro-fit with digital works. Then you could have a CD player and satellite radio if you wish. What are the advantages of owning this beautiful car? She wins tophies at the local car shows. Put on a coat of wax, and she's ready to show for you! What are the disadvantages? People in front of you on the freeway slow down, mistaking you for highway patrol. I need the space, so my loss would be your gain. Thanks for looking.
