This is the car you've dreamed about, but thought didn't exist. Rare Turbo Diesel with only 78k original miles. This car was owned by my step father, a retired engineer, who purchased it many years ago from an elderly woman. The car was his baby. It was garaged and regularly maintained. As his health began to fail, the car sat in his garage and was rarely driven for the past few years. We recently had to put him into an assisted living facility and he asked me to sell it for him. When I tried to start it the battery was dead, so I called the local Mercedes Benz dealer, who sent out roadside assistance. They installed a new Mercedes-Benz battery and the car immediately started, which seemed to amaze the technician. I drove it to the dealership and had an "MPI World Class Inspection" performed. The dealer recommened new injector seals, tensioner and shock, and new drive belt, as well as topping off the fluids. I had all work performed by the dealer for $1,086.41. The tires were a little thin, so I also installed a new set of Continental tires. The air-conditioner was retrofitted several years ago to the new type of coolant. The car is in truly amazing condition and looks and drives near new. My step father said he had a very minor fender bender years ago, that was less than his insurance deductible and required only minor paintwork. The interior (seats, dash, carpet and headliner are near new. I detected no squeaks or rattles and was amazed at how solid the car is. I drove it today and noted that 3 windows and the radio were inop. They were working when I took it to the dealer and a bulb indicator light just came on, so I believe it may be a simple fuse. At any rate, the vehicle looks great cosmetically and drives amazing for a car of this vintage (or a new car for that matter). Independent inspection at buyer expense if OK, although inspection by an authorized Mercedes-Benz franchise dealer was just performed. Shipping is at buyer's expense. This car will not disappoint. I have the clear California title in my possession. It was recently transferred to my mother in case my step father passes away.
