DARE TO BE DIFFERENT in this trully one of a kind monster!! Why cruise the same old ratrod as everyone else screw the rules in this original hotrod. This all started out as a stock 1989 s10 2wd standard cab. Its frame was lengthen 36" and got a 11" kick in the rear . It is A stock s10 suspension up front with cut springs,new shocks,power disc brakes and power stearing . The rear suspension consist of homemade ladder bars ,coilsprings and a custom panhard bar with the original s10 rearend with 3" wheel spacers to give it the look.The heart of this beast is the original 2.5 iron duke 4 cylinder with a custom adapter to mount the holley 2barrel,homemade dump on the original header and good old hei distributor to fire the old girl.........runs like a champ and gets 25 miles a gallon starts first time every time and is backed by a t5 5 speed manual transmision with a must have to tall shifter made out of an old set of hd handlebars.Theres also a brand new aluminium radiator to keep it cool on hot days surrounded by a custom grille shell and new speedway headlights.Now for the cool stuff ... what started as the original cab was chopped 12" with a custom v'ed windshield made and new glass installed ...next came a new all steal dash with three new gauges to keep tabs on the beast....next came new rockers and cab corners to freshen the old girl up followed by blending in 6 inches of the front fenders into the newlly formed firewall for that smoothed old school look.....after that was all said and done it was time to create the tub portion by cutting out the back wall and adding a complete new back half to the body made from 14 gauge steal complete with side steps for the kids to get in and new 59 caddy taillights. the whole body was then covered in three coats off rhino coat for a bulletproof paint job. As far as the interior goes it consist of new recovered seats a three spoke stearing wheel and diamond plate door panels no worrys here.This thing was made for fun and has been driven dailly since completed it drives straight stops good and handles well ....its a lowdown stiff ride but its what you would expect out of something this cool! There are no blinkers in this beast just headlights and taillights and brakelights just enough to keep the man off your back, seatbelts included gotta keep the kids safe.
