* * * 2001 CHEVROLET 2500 HD * * * For sale I have a 2001 chevrolet 2500 HD pick up truck. This truck is in excellent running condition. The vehicle was inspected by my mechanic on 04/16/2010 and the only thing he said was "please hold it until I get money and I will buy it from you". Truck comes equipped in the LS trim with a V8 8.1L engine and a smooth shifting Allison transmission. This beast is also a 4x4 and I got the pleasure in testing it out at lake pleasant on 04/17/2010 and all is working great. This truck was bought new by a local construction company and was sold to a employee of the company who ended up owning his own construction/engineering company. Two owner truck and has always been a reliable vehicle. There was never a problem with the engine or transmission and never has any major work done on it other then it's basic oil changes and tune ups. The only thing that needs to be mentioned is the windshield washer fluid reservoir has a hole in it some place and may need to be sealed up or replaced (very cheap). The other thing I would mention is that this truck has always been used for construction work so it is not going to be a shiny local street cruiser (why would you buy this kind of truck for that anyways?). It has a rip in the driver seat, the steering wheel is fairly worn out and the paint on the truck is not as good as it looks in the pictures. For some reason the pictures didn't show the blemishes of the paint. There is a fair amount of scratches and nicks as you would expect with a work truck. There is also a white scuff mark between the driver door and the gas tank (maybe oxidation from the az heat?). On the passenger side bottom there is a good size indented scratch as well (as pictured). If I would have to rate this truck for it's mechanics I would honestly give it a ten for it's age and mileage. If I had to rate this truck for it's cosmetics then I would rate this truck a six or seven. The truck comes equipped with a tow hitch and the tool box is included.
