Vehicle Detail
Brief History: She was used as a tour van for a rock and roll band for almost 3 years. She’s seen a lot of highways and has the miles to prove it; 183,473 to be exact. After the tour was done she sat in storage for 2 years. Well the band is going to start touring again and they decided it’s time to let this girl go and to find a new van for their adventures. The Good: Because this van was their only means of transportation from one gig to the next, the van is mechanically sound. They had the oil changed every 3,000 miles or so and kept her in good running condition. When we got her out of storage this month we had the brake master cylinder changed and the fuel pump. There is one mechanical item still needing work, see the bad section. The van has many additional entertainment extras. She has 3 DVD players, 2 full units that can play individually or link to play the same movie are mounted to the ceiling in the back passenger area, there is also a DVD unit located in the sun visor of the front passenger seat that can link to either DVD player. She has a sound system that any rock star would be proud of with a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X790 that has Sirius Radio capabilities and a remote control, yes you can control the stereo all the way from the last seat in the back. There is also, an inline Ipod connector. With two 10” Boston G2 subwoofers controlled by a Rockford Fosgate bass punch, this system really rocks. The van has two 400 watt power invertors that run directly off the battery, one located in the mid section of the van and one in the rear, this makes it possible for multiple people to be on their laptop or charging their cell phone while on the road. There is 10,000 lb capacity tow pitch package and there is a brake charge controller on the driver side. I’m not guarantying this is in working order and we were not able to hook up the band trailer to see if it was working. The Bad: When she was in the shop this month, they found a bolt had sheared on the exhaust manifold. She still runs great but it’s a bit noisy. There is a long crack in the front windshield and both side mirrors are due to be replaced, one is cracked and the other is duct taped in place. The Ugly: Let’s just say the van is a bit cosmetically challenged. She had four rock and rollers touring in her for over 3 years and it shows. Let’s start at the top and work our way down. The interior has small to medium size rips in the ceiling, the largest being ¼” by 5”. The plastic interior has some cracks and breaks, the largest being a 10” crack on the back door. Most of the covers are missing from the speakers. The foam in the back seats is broken down on one side due to the multiple trips in and out of the van. They are all still comfortable to sit in and the upholstery is in good shape. Now for the exterior, she has a large dent in the front quarter panel of the driver side. There are scratches and minor dents on the passenger side. Near the rear passenger side bumper there is a dent with surface rust. But think of it this way, you don’t have to treat her as a precious gemstone, she would be great for kids to run a muck in. I have tried to describe the van as accurately as possible, please feel free to come and look at her or ask me any questions you may have. I am relisting this vehicle with an extremely lower reserve price. Thanks for looking. I reserve the right to end the auction early as item is also being sold locally. Buyer is responsible for either local pick-up or shipping. I can recommend auto shipping company that I just recently dealt with.
