Vehicle Detail

You’re bidding on a completely stock and original 1965 A code, 289 factory 4bbl, 4 speed manual, air conditioned car, with NO RESERVE. I think the car is the factory color, I listed the door tag info below, and its factory black interior. The car is in great running shape, the engine was rebuilt about 25,000 miles ago, even 180psi across the board, no leaks, fires right up every time cold or hot. The radiator has been replaced, and the car never overheats. The clutch will need to be replaced fairly soon, everything else is in great shape. The car is completely unmolested, even the fan shroud is good shape and still mounted on the car. The A/C is 100% complete, the fan works, just needs to be charged. No visible leaks or oil spots anywhere on the A/C system. The car has its original black CA license plates front and rear, when I scraped off the stack of tags, the car has either the 1965 or 1966 registration sticker underneath. I believe the floor mats are original as well, they’re in good shape, but are very hard and getting brittle due to their age. The shifter knob with the 4sp pattern I believe is also original and the reverse lock out T handle works as well. The car has the factory Ford AM radio, I’m not sure if it works or not. The car also has a Kenwood CD player mounted in the glove box with a wireless remote. All the seats have been redone, the headliner is new, but one of the bows needs to be installed in the middle. The car has the factory black seat belts upfront in good working shape, the back seat has black aftermarket seatbelts installed and they work great too. All the factory gauges work, speedometer, odometer, emergency brake, the horn even works. The turn signal arm is missing, but you can buy a reproduction arm for $6 online, the turn signal cam is undamaged. This is a perfect weekend cruiser car, thanks to the 3:00 rear gears. It has a fresh tune up, professionally rebuilt carb, so it’s ready to go. It’s also a perfect car for a collector since it’s a high option, all there, and unmolested car. The paint looks great, and is a perfect driver paint job. It’s not a show paint job by any means, it has a few chips, and a little bubbling. I just sold my other 65 mustang last week, and I didn’t know at the time, that the buy it now feature ends when the first person bids, when you don’t use a reserve. I WILL NOT end this auction early, unless you’re willing to pay $12,500usd in full, then I will end the auction. Please don’t email me with any other offers. Most likely the car will go for less on the auction anyway. I work a lot of hours, so if you want a prompt email reply, please email me at classic1965mustang619@yahoo.com it goes right to my Blackberry, and I’ll be checking my Ebay messages every afternoon and evening. I just sold my other 65 mustang last Sunday, and the buyer left me good feedback. Since the buyer made the full payment within 48hours, I even rented a trailer and delivered it to him for free. It was a 300 mile trip, and it worked out that I could easily get the day off work. I will try to help out any semi-local buyer, I just can’t make any promises due to my work schedule. On Apr-18-10 at 20:13:26 PDT, seller added the following information: All numbers matching car, currently registered, with no back penalities. Clean California Title, in my name. I added one more pic, there is a small crack/checking on the paint on the hood.On Apr-18-10 at 20:36:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry for all the updates, I was in a hurry posting the ad. Something else I should address, since I’m already getting questions about it. This is a no reserve auction, so once someone bids, the buy it now feature is gone. In the ad I gave a price to reduce the amount of emails I get. Please keep in mind if you want to buy the car, it’s at my discretion to end the auction early, since it really isn’t fair to all the other bidders. I listed the car, just like my last one, as an auction so I’ll get fair market value of the auction. Now if someone wants to make me an even better offer then I feel I could get by auction, I’ll consider it.
