Selling my much loved 1966 Volvo 1800s to make room for another classic Volvo. This is a solid rustfree example of this Swedish classic. Much work has been done to the car in the last couple of years. Recent work include new reconditioned gas tank, new gas sending unit, new gas shocks front and rear,,Volvo penta pointless ignition,completely rebuilt set of SU carbs, new air filters,new tie rod and more that I cannot think of at the moment. The car was a color change from a light blue to the present color of California white. The car was painted inside and out when this was done but evidence of the original color can be seen from some paint knicks here and there. The dash has been recovered top and bottom and is in very nice shape but it was not done in black as when the car was new. There is an aftermarket sunroof that was installed by a previous owner. The door panels and seats have also been redone and the drivers seat has some splitting of the upholstrey.All of the original body seams are present and I can only find one spot with body filler at the left rear bottom corner valence area . The only evidence of any rust besides some chipped paint areas is on the drivers side rocker near a drain hole where there is the spot half the size of a dime that I had never noticed until today.The floor boards,jacking points etc are all completely solid. The car has 50 to 60 pounds of oil pressure and the engine runs smooth and idles great. The transmission shifts smoothly and the overdrive works as it should The car is registerd as a 1966 but was manufactured in 1965. This was a very common practice for foreign cars in the 60s to be registered as to the year it was sold. I will work with overseas buyers. Winning bidder must pay a 500 dollar paypal deposit within 24 hours of the auctions end and full payment will be required within ten days. I welcome anyone who would like to unspect the car prior to the end of the auction. This is a used car and is being sold AS IS!! Please do not bid unless you are a serious buyer. I forgot to mention that the tires have lots of tread but the sidewalls have aging cracks. The tires are yokohama 165/15s.The original jack is also included. I also need to mention that some of the clear coat on the top surfaces of the car has peeled. The car is presentable as is but a new paint job would really make a wonderfull improvement.
