Safe to say, you won‘t see any of these at your local car show...PHS documented and seldom seen is this 1970 Ram Air 455 GTO convertible. This is 1 of less 30 Ram Air 455 convertibles that were produced, less than 12 are accounted for. Heavily optioned with air conditioning and more, thins out the herd even further. Here are some of the 23 Factory options: ~455 HO ~Air Inlet-HD (Ram Air option) ~TH 400 ~Safe-T-Track rear ~Air conditioning ~power driver’s seat ~Formula steering wheel ~Rally gauges ~Power trunk release ~Door edge guards ~Trunk light ~Under hood light ~remote control mirror ~Rally II wheels ~Power steering ~Power disc brakes Original color was Pepper green with black interior and black convertible top. Runs and drives unbelievably with ridiculous power at the pedal. Motor, transmission and rear differential were all rebuilt less than 500 miles ago. New suspension, new exhaust, new interior and top. Original floors and doors are rust free, nice cowl and good trunk lid, solid frame and straight bumpers. Will need 1/4's, trunk pan (partial?) and fender patches. The front valance will probably need replacing from being dented and the rear valance is missing. The original motor was unfortunately stolen from a machine shop around 1995. A date correct 1970 455 HO engine now takes it‘s place. Numbers matching transmission and 12 bolt rear are still with car. Original Ram Air hood is in decent condition, with very slight kink. The ram air scoops are very nice and the lower carb pan is new reproduction. Ram Air pull cable is missing but bracket and knob are still under dash. Upper ram air pan and flapper are also missing. Engine has aftermarket headers and electronic ignition. Carburetor is a 1968 Ram Air 1 Q-jet. A one inch thick folder of receipts come with the car and a clear title in my name.
