I bought the car several years back with the intention of "lead sleading" the car. Procrastination and getting older have nixed that idea. I got the car from a 25 year owner in MO. He painted the car over 20 years ago and rebuilt the engine prior to me buying it. The origional owners manual shows the origional purchaser was in Air Force in 1955. The car is in overall great condition. The paint has some checking on right front fender wher it looks like the black was resprayed at some point. The picture of the trunk floor is to show the absense of rust! The only rust I know of is at the extreme rear of the RH rocker panel lower. I replaced the carpet and door sills and the floors are great. I also had the power brake booster and master cyl rebuilt. The carb was rebuilt by a pro in Texas ( not by me thank god :) ). New heater ranko valve. Converted vacumn wipers to 12 Volt elec. Converted to elec fuel pump and Manual choke. The car runs great shifts good and firm. No smoke warm or cold. Steers good runs down our highways all day at 65 70. Runs very cool temp always. Power brakes no power steering. Tires all like new Radials including spare. Car needs door rubbers (painter painted with them on), headliner material only ( bows are perfect no pitting chrome), On Apr-19-10 at 07:40:06 PDT, seller added the following information: OK folks I am removing my reserve as of now.
