Vehicle Detail

This is a beauty Ghia convertible that appears to be totally rust free.I found it sitting in the back of a mechanics shop collecting dust and used it as my daily driver while I worked on my other project. Now that I am done it almost pains me to sell a car that is so much fun to drive.I am not a vw kind of guy,but lots of Ghia buffs seem to drool over this car, so my kowledge of these cars is limited but I will answer questions as best I can The good -new floor pans and rockers have been put in -origal motor and transmission(semi auto 4 speed) rebuilt by previous owner -I can find no rust on the car other than a chip in paint by the deck lid some work has been done on the nose -brand new top -runs great.all the lights turn signal, horn, etc work -brakes work great discs on the front drums on rear, just has wheel cylinders relpaced -brand new windshield with life time warranty -floors totally solid -paint is in nice shape a few nicks here and there and some fading on the nose and by the headlights, body work may have been done? -interior in nice shape, door panels nice and straight, unmolested dash with original Wolfsburg radio(tuner knobs missing) -letter from Vw in Germany certifying :the production dates Sept 1968 Model 143 042 Engine H5 474 978 chassis 149 044 535 colour code 66 66 40 Car was imported into Toronto in 1969 some odds and ends -mismatched rear view mirrors -no back seat, was there one in convertibles, you tell me -interior dash lights and turn signal indicators not hooked up -the radio only works when the lights are turned on,(which I have to mention has saved me from leaving the lights on more than a few ocasions. -there have been some minor mechanical modifications, such as stronger blower motor wired in for defrost,I have a box full of parts to restore all mods to original. As well a spare set of aftermarket rims that came with the car and some odds and ends. -there is a chips in one rear drum it doesn't affect much so I haven't changed it,though I have a second set of good rear drums, just thought you should know -the bumpers have been painted -apperently struts have been welded in to accomodate a Porcshe motor(this is what I am told) as well some bolted in in the interior, which are easily removed if so desired. Please ask questions, yes I would drive this car anywhere, have gone to Seattle without a hitch and use it every day has been totally reliable. You can call me 778 229 5357 ,if you have any questions or would like to come and see it. I have done my best to represent this car to the best of my ability I will do everything I can to ensure you are getting just what you expect.I will deliver the car as far as Bellingham if so desired. Apparently it is super easy to import a car in to the U.S. but check it out for yourself.
