All of the pictures you are viewing are current and were just taken on 4/12/2010. *********************************************************************************** This is a absolutely beautiful 1972 VW Classic-Beetle from Southern California. This Bug has had a full restoration and a couple of mild custom modifications added. It does have a factory sunroof/moon-roof. The original 4cyl. engine was overhauled and put back to Stock Specs. It has a new clutch and the Original VW 4spd. manual transmission . The body is Super Clean and Very-Very Straight! The body is rock solid and rust free. It is in excellent condition with absolutely no dents, no dings, no waves, no ripples, no dimples and no signs of bondo being present what so ever! It has a quality custom paint job that is extremely glossy and looks Absolutely Fantastic! The body was prepped and sprayed by a professional. Only PPG Products were used. It has PPG Base/Clear. The color is "Orange Crush" and White. This Bug looks sharp and sticks out like a sore thumb when the Sun Light hits it. It had a complete, top to bottom and front to back restoration performed about 4yrs. ago. The restoration and work was performed by a personal VW restoration shop in Long Beach, California. This Bug has been garaged since and has only been brought outside & driven a few of times since. The paint and the body look fantastic! It shines & looks like a Million Bucks inside and out and up and down. The interior is in excellent to near mint condition. The interior was completely restored at the same time as the engine and body. The door panels and the front & rear seats are custom finished in tweed & vinyl. It has a new headliner, rear liner panels, sun visors, both front door panels along with the rear seat side panels with a complete-high quality carpet kit throughout. All new window and door seals. The dash pad looks to be original and it has that original appearance & look. There is no radio installed and I do not believe that this Bug ever did have a radio from the factory. The dash has not been cut on or cut out for an aftermarket stereo, gauges or other do dads. All of the stainless trim is new and is in excellent condition. All of the glass is nice & clean with no breaks or chips present. The rubber window, door, trunk & hood seals are all new and in excellent condition. The running boards & both bumpers are new(There is a small ding in the rear bumper behind the license plate). The door handles, locks and both the hood & trunk latches are new. The hood, trunk lid and both doors open and close like new and with ease. It has a brand new-black carpeted trunk liner that is installed. Both of the side door windows have been custom cut to a 1-piece glass in order to give this Bug a much cleaner look and a sleeker appearance(Looks great). All of the side and rear windows are tinted. The front suspension is lowered 2" and the rear has a pair of air shocks added giving it that raked or old school look. It sits nice and square and it has a very nice stance. The wheels are original and they have been painted to match the body color. The wheels also have new center caps and trim rings. Personally I think that a nice set of custom wheels would really set the whole car off. Tires have plenty of tread and look to have very few miles if any. The trunk is nice and clean inside and the engine compartment is very clean and it looks great. The inside of the trunk and all of the jams are rust free and very clean. All of the jams and the trunk are painted to match the exterior color of this Bug perfectly. I purchased this car out of Long Beach California last summer. My wife has been laid off for the past 6mos. and we could really use the money more that the car at this time. I have the Original 1972-Blue & Yellow California license plate that was issued to the original that will be included with this sale. This VW has resided in the nice-dry climate of the State of California for the past 38 years. It has never been driven in snow or salt ever. The is absolutely no rust blistering or rust bubbling present on the body. There are no paint issues like checking, cracking, fading, lifting or thin areas present. The floor pans are original and in excellent rust free condition with no sign of ever having rust or rot repair performed in the past which is very rare for a Bug of this age. The undercarriage is clean and detailed out nice. Bottom line: This Classic VW Beetle is in excellent overall condition and has been well cared for in the past and present. It is a great investment and sure to bring any Bug lover many of years of fun and enjoyment. It is almost impossible to find True rust free California Bugs like this one is. It could have the carb. adjusted or just dialed in a little better. The interior and body are in amazing condition inside and out. This car is very nice and could be entered into a car show the day you take possession. I do have a box with a few extras odds & ends that I will be including with this sale (The Original 1972 California License Plate and frame, 2-Billet Aluminum interior window cranks, extra seat belts and the PPG paint can with the paint code and even a little touch up paint left if ever needed). The center cap for the steering wheel is missing therefor the horn is interoperable at this time. There are a few very minor paint flaws that are not noticeable unless you do a very very thorough inspection. Very minor scratch or scuff from moving and while in storage. The paint body show absolutely no use or road wear. This car looks incredible inside & out weather you are 2" away or 20ft. away. I would rate the paint at an 8 1/2 or 9, and the interior at a 9 1/2 on a 1-10 scale. 1 being the worst possible and 10 being mint,perfect or absolutely flawless. This car has been parked and kept covered in my climate controlled garage since purchased and has only been driven 3 times since. Just to be 100% safe, I would recommend having a mechanic go over the car to check all of the brakes, lights etc. before making it an every day driver. It always starts right up and drives & rides well. This 1972 VW runs, drives, stops and steers exactly like you would expect a Beetle of this age to. *********************************************************************************** This is a very nice, clean and well cared for used automobile.
