Vehicle Detail

1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible 4 Speed Tribute Car "NO RESERVE" This is a restored original 1971 Plymouth Cuda with what is believed to be 73,863 original miles. This car originally came with a 383 two barrel automatic. It has been converted to a Hemi with a 1966 date coded 426 Hemi engine. The car has a date coded 426 Hemi block, 1966 Hemi heads, 1967 Hemi intake, two 625 Carter four barrel carbs, Hemi K frame, Hemi exhaust manifolds including Hemi mufflers and resonators. The engine work was masterfully done by Larry Shepard of "Hemi's Only" of Clinton Ohio , and includes build sheet for the engine. The transmission is a 1970 date coded 18-spline Hemi four speed with a pistol grip shifter and a four speed console. The rear axle is an 8-3/4 391 gear. Includes power steering and brakes, new power convertible top. Rally dash including 8,000 rpm tachometer installed recently. Original dash showing original mileage is included seperately. All dash gauges are working with the exception of the clock second hand which is stuck. Reset knob is missing for clock but can be set with pliers. Interior is like new. All interior lighting works, including reverse back up lights. Hemi engine runs strong, transmission is good and shifts smoothly. Car was originally Curious Yellow but is now painted in Lemon Twist Yellow per the original owner's desire to closely match the car used in the Nash Bridges TV show. Although a good paint job, it is not done to concourse specifications. If you look closely enough inside the door hinges and around the inside of the trunk you can still see some overspray with the original paint peeking through. The door sills have some small cracks in the paint finish at the inside corners. Also, the previous owner elected to have the underside of the car (originally painted curious yellow) and the wheel wells painted flat black. The floor pans, quarters, fenders, and all original sheet metal is in good condition and rust free. The hood is a reproduction shaker hood that has a good fit, but not perfect. There is a small rust spot (about 1/8"-1/4") on the rear fender bracket. There are a slight number of small surface rust spots under the trunk mat. Tires are correct reproduction Goodyear Polyglas GT G60-15 with correct rally wheels. Car comes with tonneau cover that snaps in place perfectly. Comes with correct reproduction Mopar battery (comes with Optima battery in the car). Trunk comes with factory correct jack, space saver spare and inflator bottle to match. I purchased this car 3 years ago to use as a fun driver. I have owned several concourse cars and have been afraid to drive them around the block. This has been a great car to enjoy for date night and cruising, but unfortunately I have to sell. I have over $100K invested in the car. With a minimal investment this car can be brought up to concourse standards, and can compete with anything on the market right now that is going for $150K plus. Don't miss this opportunity to buy a car at an incredible price, that will only appreciate in value over time. The car is sold as is. Inspections are welcome and encourged. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time since the car is being advertised locally. Thank you for bidding.
