This little beetle has some stories to tell! It was owned by an eccentric college professor in Berkeley California and drove all around the state and even to Baja Mexico in 1979. The car was once in a rally from California to Washington and managed a top 10 finish. It also chauffeured the future miss california 1975 to the Cal football big game in an interesting stroke of luck after her limousine broke down. Yes the Professor lived some wild times in this buggy and wouldn't let go. Alas after spending 12 years in storage I bought it and towed it out. The bug started right up and idles down to a crackly purr. One of the front brakes has gone sticky and that will be the first order of business. The body is showing its age and the hood was replaced at some point. This hood has some rust holes down low and will need to be switched. Its had some days in the sun and needs a new captain to turn it around, Harris
