I purchased this vehicle a little over a year ago and what I know about the history was provided by the seller. Seller used the vehicle as her primary auto. She indicated that the battery was 3 years old, the soft top had been replaced, new alternator about 15 months old, body repainted, and new engine was installed around 2009-2010 (the 60K miles indicated on the item specifics is based on the estimated miles provided by the seller since the odometer does not work and the vehicle is mileage exempt). Since I have owned the car, the following parts were purchased for installation by a local Mercedes mechanic: Ignition Rotor, Distributor Cap, Spark Plug Wires, & Overload Protection Relay. Other than these parts, the vehicle is as it was when originally purchased by me. You will note (see pictures) that the vehicle has some damage to the passenger door and right rear quarter panel which occurred during the time the vehicle was being driven to my home on the day of purchase. As the owner, I am holding a CLEAR Alabama Title (no liens or loans) for this vehicle and will transfer it to the buyer with a bill of sale at the successful completion of the transaction. Currently the vehicle is being checked out in a local shop (see engine picture). The engine does start, but it runs rough. This is a beautiful auto in the desirable color combination (red/palomino) and it will make a great restoration project for the right person! I just do not have the time to spend on restoring it so my loss is your gain.
