Offered for auction a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport Country Edition. This truck runs well, it was purchased in May with 174501 miles on it. Since purchasing it , I have installed new tailgate pistons,ABS light/passenger side rear speed sensor, right rear wheel cylinder,adjusted the rear brakes, 2 front brake hoses,drivers front brake line (accumulator to the hose),new headlight on the passenger side,new front brakes-pads,rotors and calipers, a new starter motor, oil change and a NYSDMV inspection. Since May there has been 1205 miles added to the odometer. The truck runs very well, the body is in good condition with the usual scratches and blemishes that can be expected in a 21 year old truck. Quite surprising there is absolutely no rust or rot on the bottom as you can see in the photos, the rockers are solid. The headliner is sagging around the rear speakers and would need to be replaced aside from that and a missing piece of interior door trim the interior is in good condition. I am the third owner of the truck,which had always been garage kept by the previous two owners. I work construction and travel between 150 - 200 miles round trip per day depending on where the job is. This Jeep is not my daily commuter this is my "it snowed last night and I need to get to work car". I always keep my cars in ready to go condition because I am not a fan of 4am surprises. I am really happy with this truck and am only selling it because the company I just finished working for gave me a good price on a newer 4x4 Ford pick-up. The ball hitch is "Frozen" in the receiver and will need to be repaired before you will be able to tow with it.
