1948 Ford COE F-6 What’s being offered is a complete rod build kit. Parts are either new or rebuilt. Very few items are not in hand. I challenge you to find a more solid COE. Overview: Manufactured in Long Beach, California, Purchased in Pendleton, Oregon Truck was traded for seed cleaning services to gentleman in Dayton Washington 2004 After 5 years of communication/begging/badgering/negotiation truck was finally purchased 2012 Truck was complete as delivered in 48 in every way, rust free with beautiful patina Flatty has an overhaul tag on it. It runs smooth and buries a 50PSI oil pressure gauge on start up Vision: Trucks build name is “THUD” Daily Driver, Traditional Old School rod, Flatty-T5-9”-Slammed-Resto style Fenders aligned at same elevation, Vintique Wheels offset to fill fenders and get look correct Tire selected are BFG Commercial skinnies for the sidewall needed Shorten Stock mirror sticks and replace mirrors Mechanical: 239Flatty backed with T5, Tall-short throw shifter, Stock E-brake, lokar cables to new 9” Motor mount and water pumps replaced, new T-5, 5th gear overdrive with 4:10 rear end match ratio used in early fords with overdrive tranny’s Shifter and E-brake exit through original position floor board holes very nice stock look 6” drop axle widened for proper fit of front track width, new Kingpins, shocks and brakes Brakes: Power, dual mater cylinder, F1 ½ ton pickup brakes front, 9” 11” drums rear, new Charging System upgraded to 12 volt, New Alternator, Mounting and Pully of correct size Radiator ultrasonic cleaned, shroud and under faring painted, fan/W original viscous coupled fan Fuel tank steam cleaned no rust inside or out Gauge set shows 39K and it looks to be original Drivers suspension seat and passenger jump-seat, very cool Extra running boards for bed step side with frame mounts Brackets Bedsides are 55Ford pieces Rear Fenders are 49 F-1 Frame stepped, bed side needed to be raised to look proportionally correct with massive Cab Glass: Windshield, back glass with new gaskets, 2nd set of nice wing windows with gaskets and door glass 49 ford air cleaner, real nice piece, heater unit, radio delete insert If my vision and yours are diametrically opposite I’m Ok!
