In 1962, Honda introduced the most effective motorcycle sales advertising campaign with their popular slogan" You meet the nicest people on a HONDA!". These CA100 Honda Cub 50's were made from 1962 thru 1970. Based on it's early serial number it appears to be a late 1962. I acquired this Black Cub 50 in Central California in 2015 and spent almost a year acquiring the new parts to begin the restoration. In the meantime, I had a local vintage Honda trained mechanic rebuild both the motor and the 3 speed transmission. It is basically new with very few miles since the restoration. The only non-stock part is an aftermarket Chrome Rear Luggage Rack that doubles as a tail light protector. I thought it was rather unique and you can easily remove it if you wish. All the major components were replaced with NEW parts such as: 250x17 Tires and tubes, new 2 toned seat & pan with HONDA logo, Front fender, gas tank decals, vented gas cap, rear brake lever, handlebar grips, mirrors, all new cables, both side covers with HM logo knobs, spark plug, fuel line, battery & fuse with holder, ignition switch w/2 keys, rubber foot pegs, rear passenger foot pegs, kick starter rubber, rear shocks, 2 piece chain guard cover, and leg shield with chrome HONDA 50 logo. It starts ,stops, and runs great and even has the Honda tool kit under the left side cover. Needs nothing but a new owner!
