Selling one of my favorite cars (I've owned 119 over the years!). Extended commute forced me into a subcompact to save on fuel. Will own another down the line. This is my second X308. Last was a 2002 black over black with about the same miles as this one. Another long commute of almost 100 miles a day didn't make sense and I knew someone else could enjoy it more. This is a southern car from Florida - the undercarriage is immaculate, the body and paint look amazing. Judging by the condition the passenger front seat and rear seat were rarely (if ever) used before my ownership. The only rust on it is a small section on the passenger A-pillar at the windshield edge - I suspect a windshield replacement by someone who wasn't very careful and scraped the paint, causing it to be exposed and bilster. Easily repaired and the car would be completely rust free. One or two small dings from over the years - a paintless dent service should be able to remove them. Vehicle was given a full paint correction and exterior coating. I replaced the missing XJR trunk badge with a new OE badge, and reconditioned the “Jaguar” trunk badge and “leaping Jaguar” fender badges. The steering wheel was in poor shape so I replaced that with a lower mileage part that also had perforated leather, and installed a new shift knob that better matches the wood trim. Mechanically the car runs excellent - the usual suspects have been addressed:- Throttle body ass'y rebuilt by ASI with a lifetime warranty- Valve cover gaskets replaced- spark plugs replaced- new Bosch Icon wiper- brake switch replaced- Brand new Kumho Ecsta PS91's, 255/40ZR18- The steering rack leaks on the passenger side - I have a remanufactured rack that I can include or install before delivering for a small labor fee This car gets plenty of attention - its timeless design is almost unanimously loved and admired. It's one of Jeremy Clarkson's favorite cars - he stated it was 90% of a Bentley for 10% of the price - I couldn't agree more. Delivery or shipping is available anywhere in the lower 48 states, can be arranged at the buyer's expense but I can help with the arrangements. Viewings before auction end can also be arranged.
