WEEKEND ROAD TRIP {o} 2003 VW Eurovan {o} NO RESERVE Auction Ends: Sunday December 23 at 7:00 PM PST Highest Bidder = NEW OWNER!!PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE AD If you want to end the auction early and buy it right now, please call me to discuss. Thank you, Paul (541) 974-5346 Thanks for checking out my cool VW van that is up for sale in this NO RESERVE AUCTION. I bought the van in Central Oregon where the previous owner (Nancy) had owned it since 2004. It had right around 14K miles on it when she originally purchased it and it was a second vehicle for her family. Central Oregon has many lakes and lots of great outdoor activities year round. She had expressed how wonderful this van worked for so many family activities. Everything from fishing trips at the lake, to camping at one of the many other beautiful Oregon attractions. The back seat folds into a bed, making weekend outings quite convenient for setting up camp. There is also a table between the 2nd and 3rd row seats that folds conveniently out of the way when not in use. The interior amenities are really laid out nice and versatile in a convenient sized van. It is very useful without having to deal with the larger size true RV's and most campgrounds have showers and/or bathrooms anyway. Nancy had been very good about regularly servicing this van. All of the service work was performed in Bend, Oregon. The last couple of years, the transmission has been acting up. It will slip out of gear when coming to a complete stop and will pick the gear back up if the gas is feathered to start out. After it gets moving, it seems to shift into all of the gears. She drove it this way for a couple of years and it never improved or got worse. The van runs and drives, but I think it really needs a complete rebuild or replacement so that you can truly enjoy the van. Nancy purchased a new van and I had intentions of rebuilding or replacing the transmission. Bottom line, life happens and things change. I am no longer able to keep the van, and that is why I have listed it for sale. The title is not in my name as I was going to fix the transmission first. I do have a clean title properly released by Nancy and the bill of sale. The motor fires right up and sounds good. I have heard nothing but good things about the 2.8 V6 in these vans and that is part of what made me really want it. This van has only 132K miles on it, pretty low miles for the year. They have a good reliability record, good power and get very respectable fuel mileage. The van drives out well other than the transmission issue. The brakes are firm, consistent, and stop well. There is no pull to the left or right. The suspension feels very nice, tight, and responsive. The steering has a very nice feel to it, tight and responsive. The tires are in good condition, worn evenly, (no cupping or odd wear) and have probably 55-65 percent tread life left. The factory alloy wheels are in nice shape and only have minor imperfections, no major curb rash or anything like that. Once the transmission is rebuilt, I believe this will make an excellent van for someone. The body is rust free and pretty straight. The paint and body on the van does have chips, scratches, and scuffs which I have highlighted the worst of it in the photos below. Nothing major, but there are a few spots that I pointed out in close ups. The paint shines and shows well, but the roof and top area have the clear coat lifting and it does have faded areas. The front bumper cover on the passenger side has a crack down very low. (see photos) There are imperfections, but this is a good looking van. I feel that these are all fairly minor cosmetic flaws and don't bother me, but I want you to get a good overall feel for the van, good and bad. This van has been in Oregon most if not all of its life. The great thing about Oregon cars is that we have a mild climate and do not use salt on our roads in the Winter. This makes for some of the best rust free cars anywhere in the U.S. This van is rust free and solid!! I absolutely love the layout and flexibility of the interior. The fold down table between the 2nd and 3rd row seat is very convenient. The second row captains chairs turn to face the table, almost like a restaurant booth, so there is plenty of room for crafts and dining while enjoying the outdoors. The table folds out of the way when not in use and is conveniently tucked to the side. No wasted space! The 3rd row seat folds flat into a bed, so setting up comfortable sleeping quarters is a breeze. Not all of us enjoy sleeping in a tent on the ground :) The headliner is in amazing condition, no rips or stains. The carpet is all very nice with minimal normal wear and no big stains or strange odors. (Smells good inside) The seats and upholstery are in really nice shape. There is a small hole in the driver's seat lower cushion (see pics) barely noticeable, but is there. The dash is in great shape, no cracks or curling. The gauges, lights, and power features all work. The windshield wipers work, the headlights and tail lights work, the turn signals work, the heater works, and all of the seat belts work. All of the power windows, locks, mirrors work. The radio works and sounds great. All of the interior trim pieces, switches, etc. are in good shape, not cracked or broken. All of the glass is in great shape, maybe some minor chips, but no cracks. Just imagine the fun you are going to have in this van. Load the whole family up and go on a ROAD TRIP! Enjoy the beautiful scenery and take the kids fishing at the lake. Explore a nearby hiking trail to some beautiful waterfalls. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at base camp in this van. The options are limitless, and by owning an adventure vehicle, you will be urged to take advantage of it and enjoy time with your family. Make it a priority to create a lifetime memory today! I have done my best to accurately describe this van to you. The good, the flaws, and most things in between. I think this will give you an idea of what this van is, and what this van is not. Please view the almost 100 detailed photos below, read the full ad, and contact me if you have any questions. The van is in Albany, Oregon. I have contact information for a shipping company that I have used in the past with great results if you need help with a shipping quote. This has transmission issues and will need to be rebuilt or replaced sold "as-is". Do not plan on driving this across the country prior to fixing. This is a no reserve auction and high bidder will own it. Terms of the auction are as follows: Within 24 hours of auction end, winning bidder to pay $1000 paypal deposit and contact me. The remaining balance is due within 72 hours of auction end, prefer bank wire. After paid in full, I will send the properly released clean Oregon title along with bill of sale to new owner. Bid with confidence and bid to win! Someone is going to be a proud new VW owner! Clear coat peeling off roof, paint oxidized There is a small hole in the drivers seat cushion that is hardly noticeable that I wanted to point out. A small ding I wanted to point out Ding right here Clear coat lifting on roof area NO RESERVE Auction Ends: Sunday December 23 at 7:00 PM PST Highest Bidder = NEW OWNER!!
