2001 Porsche Boxster S6 speed ManualNO RESERVE 2001 Porsche Boxster S. The S model got you significant horsepower increase over the standard Boxster in 2001. That was a 3.2L flat 6 putting out 250HP vs the standard Boxster 2.7L 217HP. Does not seem like much difference, but I have driven these back-to-back (regular Boxster and Boxster S) and the seat of the pants tells you there is a significant difference. The additional displacement of the S gives it a fat torque curve with plenty of power on demand. Larger vented disc brakes along with the 17in wheels big plenty of stopping power and handling prowess. This example is a lovely triple black version with relatively low miles at 85K. Overall in good shape, runs and drives excellent, all options and accessories work as they should. Power top is fully functioning, as is cold air and hot heat. Engine is tight as is the transmission and clutch. Is not leaking fluids nor appear to be using them. Tires are all season, but look to have been replaced recently. The Porsche Red brakes will stop this at speed quickly. As with all my cars, it has been flogged and driven to determine if there is any issues or weak points before I list for sale and this one passes with flying colors. Exterior is in fair condition. The paint shines nicely and body is very straight free of any major dings or dents. Bumpers are in good shape. Top is in good shape overall, however it looks to be original so it is showing some minor age characteristics such as slightly clouded rear window. There are a number of small scratches and parking lot paint marks on the passenger side door. Also, there are several small dents on the rear deck lid similar to minor hail damage. A paintless dent repair place should be able to get those out. Interior is in Good Condition. Seats are nice and free of typical wear for a car of this age. Power seats work as they should, as does all the interior accessories. Comes with owners manuals. Heat and air are working very well as well as the stereo system. Only picks on the interior are minor discoloring on LCD screen on heating/cooling controls, tilt/telescoping wheel is not working, and lid to center console is loose. Mechanically it is in Good Condition. Starts right up, shifts, steers, stops, etc all as you would expect. Maybe even better than you expect. It appears to be in excellent operating order and maintained. Has no issues with leaks, drive issues like pulling one way or another, squeeks or rattles, etc. Fly in and drive home. Overall, a good example of the fun, fun, fun to drive Porsche Boxster S. This is a NO RESERVE auction so high bid will in. Car is for sale locally so auction can end at anytime. Even though this is a very good car, due to the age it is sold AS-IS. Payment is due in 7 days, cash in person, cashiers check, or wire transfer.
