This is my 2001 BMW 525i E39 with 225k miles on it. It is a California car with ZERO rust. It has a Clean California Title and is in good shape for the most part. The car starts and runs but has a blow head gasket in it. It puffs white smoke and you start it and so we did a block test and it came back positive for a head gasket. The car starts, runs and does not overheat so I am pretty sure it’s just a blown gasket. The interior of the car is in good shape for it’s year. All the seats are in okay shape. No major rips or tears. The headliner is nice and clean. All the windows and sun roof open and close perfectly. The leather cover around the shifter is missing. The button on the driver’s side seat is missing its cover also. Other than that the interior is in good shape. The interior smells nice and clean with no weird odor or smell. The exterior of the car is in pretty good shape. All the body panels are straight. It may have minor dings and dents from being a used car. The paint is in pretty good shape. It does have minor clear coat blemishes on the hood and trunk. It’s not flaking or anything. Just dull in some spots. I was told it could be buffed out. All the lights and glass all work great and are crack free except the driver’s side fog light is missing. The Driver’s side rear outside door handle is lose it might need to be reattached. Other than that, the exterior is in pretty good shape. Mechanically, other than the head gasket the car seems great. We just installed 4 brand new Michelin Sport Tires on their 3 weeks ago from America’s Tire. It also just had an alignment done at the same time. A new clutch was installed last year. The shifter seems a bit lose and can be tighten I suppose. The A/C blows ice and cold and the heater blows warm. Everything works on the car minus the head gasket. The only light on the dash is the Check Engine Light with a random misfire code. No other lights on such as ABS or Air Bag. This car would have no problem getting loaded and unloaded from a trailer or container. This is a great project or parts car as it does need some work. This is a no reserve auction and will sell to the highest bidder. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge.
