1969 BMW R69S with 21,800 miles in original unrestored condition. Machine is in highly maintained and starts easily, drives as it should and runs well. The paint and pinstriping is factory and the few flaws IMO have not warranted repainting. Engine is also original, engine and frame numbers match, outside of cam replacement and a valve job 10 years ago. This work was performed at Irv Seaver BMW in Orange, Ca. Rims are polished, spokes & wheel bearings, steering head bearings, mufflers and exhaust headers were also replaced at this time.Transmission shifts easily and properly. Metzler tires are in good physical condition with low mileage. All chrome is good but not perfect. Axle ends are a case in point. This is a nice original unmodified machine. It has been garaged and cared for and is hardly ever ridden. It is not perfect but it needs nothing substantial. Flaws: piston slap until warmed up; paint damage to very top front of front fender, back of fuel tank, both sides of rear fender where bench seat was bolted on.
