Vehicle Detail

I WILL POST MORE PHOTOS AND INFO ON A DAY OR SO. SORRY FOR THE DELAY. THIS IS LIKELY THE BEST DEAL YOU WILL FIND ON ONE OF THESE. LOOK AT ALL THE OTHERS FIRST THEN SEE THIS ONE LAST BEFORE YOU DECIDE. THEY STOPPED MAKING THESE IN 2011 AND THERE ARE VERY FEW LEFT, AND EVEN FEWER WITH LOW MILES AND LOW IDLE HOURS LIKE THIS ONE HAS. FREE WARRANTY This means exactly what it says. I will give any buyer a FREE WARRANTY for 7 days or 500 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty covers the engine, transmission, differential, brakes and suspension. I will either replace any part of these systems if they fail within the warranty period or will buy the vehicle back for 10% less than the selling price at my discretion. NOBODY else on Ebay offers a FREE WARRANTY of any kind. If a vehicle can go 500 miles without a mechanical incident, it likely isn't going to have any problems in the near future. REGISTRATION AND TITLE It is titled in my name and the registration is good for 1 full year. VEHICLE HISTORY This car has never been smoked in so the interior does not smell like an ash tray, and it never had one of those "Air Fresheners" hanging off the mirror or hidden under the seat so it doesn't smell like Grandmas flowery perfume. It has always been in the low desert area of sunny Southern California, so there is no damage or rust from salt from the ocean or salted roads etc. It was used by Orange Social Services Department, so it has never been abused or left idling long enough to roast a pig on the hood like most of these cars have been. This also means there are no added holes for radio equipment or police lights etc and no coffee stains on the seats. SERVICE HISTORY It was serviced every 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever came first, which is more frequent then the dealer schedule. BRAKES The rotors are smooth with no heavy grooves and the car stops perfectly straight when hitting the brakes hard form 40 mph with no hands on the steering wheel. TRANSMISSION It shifts like new. TIRES They are the original style Goodyear RSA models and have around 60% tread left with no uneven wear or dry cracking. ENGINE COMPARTMENT It had 10 years worth of dust on it from driving it so I sprayed it with simple green then rinsed the dust off and it looks nearly like it rolled off the showroom floor. There was no oil or grease build up and the plating on all the hardware is still nice and not surface rusted like it is on some of these cars. All the original factory paint daub marks and decals are still there and they all look nearly like new. UNDERCARRIAGE I will post more photos soon but it looks nearly as clean as the engine compartment. IDLE HOURS These cars have a meter that records how long the engine runs when the car is in park. The idle hours on this car are 191 which is what it should have if the driver let it warm up for a few minutes when the car was first started for the day. This is the lowest amount of idle hours you are likely to see on any of these cars even if they have less mileage. The detective cars and undercover police cars typically have over 400 idle hours on them with the mileage this car has. BODY No accidents or dents. There is only very small little finger size dings on the sides that are not glaringly obvious. PAINT It still has a very decent shine. There are a few light scratches on the sides but they are not down to the metal and are not all that noticeable from several feet away so it still looks very presentable. Please keep in mind that this is a BLACK CAR and it has never been color sanded or polished. This means that it will have light swirl marks in the paint that accumulate over the years that can be seen when looking very closely at the paint, however, a good polish with polishing compound will make then nearly undetectable, but how often does someone stare at their paint from just 2 feet away to look for swirl marks. I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that all older cars have swirl marks in the paint, but that they are simply easier to see on dark colors when intentionally looking for them, so the other police interceptors you look at will also have them to some degree unless they have been heavily polished, no matter how nice the paint looks in the photos. This being said, the swirl marks didn't show up in the photo either so they are not excessive. INTERIOR It looks nearly like new. There is no blatantly conspicuous wear or dirt marks on the seats, and the drivers seat foam feels like new and is not smashed down from having a heavy driver in it. There was rarely anyone in any of the other seats. All the print on the buttons and knobs looks like new as though they have never even been used. There are zero scratches on the door panels and the headliner looks like new. SPARE TIRE AND WHEEL For some reason these are missing in many of these police interceptors, and because the wheels only fit these cars and not the regular Crown Victoria's, the rims can be hard to find and fairly expensive. Fortunately, this car has the original full size spare wheel with a brand new, unused Goodyear Eagle RSA tire mounted to it. This setup alone is worth around $300.00.
