Since we cannot enter the japanese vin number on ebay, here it is : LJ78-0015499 The LJ 78 Prado is a luxury version of the famous Landcruiser family of vehicles ,and probably was aiming at the Range Rover crowd when introduced. Unfortunately the vast, if not almost all of them, were right hand drive which was the case of this clean example when originally imported from Japan , it was professionally converted to left hand drive at great expense. The odometer shows 212000 km which is the equivalent of 132 000 miles. Note that despite the fact that the pictures were taken in the snow, the truck is not used on salty winter roads. The paint is mainly original and while not perfect with minor scratches here and there still presents quite well as can be seen on the pictures. The alcantara interior is in excellent condition with only a minor deffect on the right side front seat bolster that barely shows, the stucture and floors are also in good condition . Mechanically the turbo Diesel engine performs flawlessly , all the major maintenance has been done : timing belt with rollers and water pump, thermo fan, glow plugs, liquids with filters, brakes , new crankshaft pulley damper etc... We never bothered to have the air conditionnioning connected. However a brand new indash unit from a 2009 79 serie was fitted when the truck was converted. All the equipment you see on the pictures is original to the truck and not add ons like the front bumper over rider, the threshold step, sunroof etc.. We can have this truck shipped anywhere in the world. For US customers the truck can be legally imported there and we can handle that for a fee of approximately US$700.00 including custom fees and brokerage, once that done, the buyer will have on hand all the necessary paper to register th vehicule in his home state.
