We got it into our shop put it up on the lift and after removing the engine oil pan saw that it had a broken connecting rod.... Apparently the owner drove through a water puddle on the road and splashed water up into the engine air intake. The piston couldn't compress the water so it broke the connecting rod. We found a Lexus serviced replacement engine with under 35k miles. A local mechanic replaced the engine and after a through test drive we are pleased to report that this RX runs & drives smoothly, is mechanically sound, and has no dash warning lights on.
