1996 Toyota 4Runner, 4x4 sr5, 3.4l v6 5spd manual trans, very low miles 155,000. I had plans to give it to my son who just turned 17 and is now 6’-7”, who knew he grow this tall and wouldn’t fit him. This was the perfect vehicle for him. His mother bought him a Grand Cherokee. Well anyway I am the 2nd owner since 2010, acquired with 115,000. Oil and filter religiously changed every 3-4K miles with Mobil 1 synthetic. Here is what I've done since I've had it. Kenwood detachable face with remote and Bluetooth, new speakers, Old Man Emu 3" Front coils/ shocks, LC Coils in Rear with KYB shocks, Cooper Discoverer AT/3 265/75/16 plenty of tread, OEM Timing belt and tensioner at 130k, water pump, front grille guard, front and rear 2" receivers, new front axle shafts and stabilizer links this year, Less than 15k on brakes, New muffler 8/18, ( NGK spark plugs and wires, New fuel filter, New upper radiator hose 10/18) Heat and AC work great. There are no leaks or drips and DOES NOT need a drop of oil between changes. I'm sure there are things I've forgotten but this is a great truck that will take you almost anywhere! Steering is tight, shifter isn’t sloppy, and it doesn’t leak or drip any fluids. I wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and drive it anywhere tomorrow This is a great reliable 4Runner that I have taken good care of that has never let me down. When something required attention I was quick to correct it. The only things that need attention on this truck are: E-brake pivots on rear backing plates are very stiff probably soak with CRC penetrant, rear bumper has seen better days, power antenna still works but mast has been lost, have makeshift antenna in place, reception is good, had plans to do a Tacoma mast but not such an issue for me, mostly use Bluetooth for my music. Also have 5 Landcruiser rims with tires. I was planning on installing, which have (2) new tires the other 3 tires are different that I will include with the truck. 3rd Gen 4runners look great with them on.
