Vehicle Detail

This 1939 Chevy (Chevrolet) has been owned by the same person since 1968. [That person is my father, who is visible in some of the photos. I am listing this for him -- so any questions may take a smidge longer to answer than I would normally take, since I may have to relay them to him, etc.] The mileage reading on the odometer is actual; it never rolled over. There is a crack in one of the rear windows and a few small rust spots [see photos]. All the parts are original and/or were replaced decades ago with manufacturer parts. Interior is mohair. This car was taken to a local antique car show in the mid-90s and has been parked in the garage ever since. The tires hold air, so the vehicle IS able to be towed. It needs some TLC but is a great collector's car -- especially with those suicide doors! On Oct-28-18 at 08:36:53 PDT, seller added the following information: NEW PHOTOS COMING SOON (SUNDAY OCT 28 OR MONDAY OCT 29)!!! Here is a little more information from my dad, which came from answering prospective buyers' questions: *Front and rear bumpers original. Car ran 20 years ago. Will need some attention like valve adjustment, etc. Car has Babbit bearings and might need some adjustment. Did not smoke the last time it was driven.*Title number matches vin number*Car would probably start with a new 6 volt battery but would not recommend it. Suggest draining all fluids and check it out thoroughly before trying to start it. Don't get in a hurry with it. Recommend trailering or trucking it. Car is driveable once it starts. Vacuum shift needs to be looked at but does shift. Clutch is good. It IS 80 years old.On Oct-28-18 at 15:04:38 PDT, seller added the following information: NEW PHOTOS ADDED!!!*6 of the car's exterior, with brighter lighting!*1 of the inside of the trunk tool box*3 undercarriage photos
