Up for auction today is a 2001 BMW 525i. It was my Dad's car which he took it off the road in March of this year. It was driven almost daily until then with no drivability issues. I was going to register it and keep the car but I can't afford insurance, so it must go. The good, New clutch, new thermostat, new drive shaft bearings, radiator, water pump, upgraded radio head unit, and battery. Recent maintenance includes front brakes. Tires are 75%. The car was maintained faithfully, oil changes with synthetic only every 5k. The bad, Needs rear struts, the headlight washer fluid pump, the exterior trim around the windshield and the drivers side A pillar interior trim. I installed a cold air intake because one of the intake boots had a crack in it and did not want to run it like that. I have the original air box less the cracked boot which will be included with the car. The car has been off the road for 6 months, I have run it weekly just to keep everything lubricated but it has not gone down the road. This is a good solid car and I would love to have kept it, the insurance is just crazy for an 18 yr old..... This is a used car. No warranties apply to this sale.
