To a good home...1976 Honda GL1000 Gold Wing first generation all original. Starts, runs, and rides great. I purchased this motorcycle through the estate of the original owner this past winter. I have a clear Ohio title in my name and a copy of the original owners title from 76. It had sat in a garage covered up for 20 years. Was well cared for and maintained until that point. When I initially received it, the engine turned freely and with good compression, but the entire fuel system was a gummed mess and required a thorough disassembly, flushing, cleaning, and replacement of seals, hoses, rubbers etc. ALL of the fluids have been flushed through twice. Brakes were thoroughly cleaned and rear master cylinder rebuilt. Timing belts are new. Tires, inner tubes, and strips are new. Battery is new. Seat cover is new OEM reproduction. Filters are new. Headlight is new halogen bulb. All electric, lights, controls, and switches are fully functional. Cables are in great shape and lubricated. Valves are adjusted. Points are clean and set. Carburetors are synchronized. NO leaks. Has the original tool kit, owners manual and a Honda shop manual. Have the Vetter wind jammer, bracket, and a backrest adjustable for driver or passenger. Has the KG rear rack and original grab bar. Also box of spare parts. I would say the overall condition is very good. Could be made excellent with time and polish etc. The red paint is a bit sun faded on top with a few tiny chips and scratches. I have put 350 miles on it so far without issue, and as much as I enjoy it have come to the realization that is simply too big for my small stature. Starts immediately, never stalls, accelerates without hesitation. It seems to run a little better every time I ride it. Smoother and quieter for example, no doubt breaking in after it’s dormancy.
