This 1970 Mercedes 280SL roadster Beige exterior with tan interior leather that Mercedes offered for the year, and with both the hard and soft convertible tops. Second owner of the vehicle and has been kept in the family, always garaged, and unexposed to winter elements. Original owner's manual included. The paint has minimal wear and has an excellent overall consistent gloss. The tan interior is also in great condition with seats, carpets and door panels clean and well preserved. The car is equipped with it's signature, removable Pagoda hardtop as well as the convertible top. The convertible is in good shape for it's age. The dashboard is original and all instruments and controls are intact and show well. The original radio is present and included. The engine compartment and trunk area are very clean. Under the hood, this Mercedes has the desirable 180 horsepower engine which was the most powerful engine offered in the SL series from 1963-1971. The car is also equipped with original air conditioning. It is coupled to an automatic transmission that makes this example particularly fun to drive. Underneath, the chassis is clean, there is a small rust hole on the driver's side where the firewall meets floor, about the size of 2" long 3/8" wide.
