Vehicle Detail
I purchased this vehicle in 2002 from Acura as a certified vehicle with a little over 14K miles on it. Since then, I have maintained the vehicle impeccable (and this is why there are over 345,000 miles on it now)! I had the third timing belt and water pump replaced at 315K miles and followed all recommended maintenance over the years (fluids, filters, plugs...). I have always used OEM parts except for the radiator that was replaced with an after market part at about 320K miles. The engine is in great shape. It does not burn oil at all. It starts up robustly and sounds perfect. Idles great. No engine flutters. Just a thing of beauty. I was planning on keeping it till it needed a 4th timing belt. Unfortunately, on my way to have an oil change and swap off the snow tires last month, the check engine light came on. I had it evaluated and the transmission is slipping. To be clear, in order to drive this vehicle, it will need a new transmission. I have been starting it every day until I could find the title (which I now have). Title is free and clear. I also noticed the ABS light is on now. If you buy it, you might be able to drive it home (I took it off the road recently and stopped driving it other than up and down my driveway) but again the transmission is slipping. Might be best to flatbed it. Also, it comes with 4 all season tires that are in good condition (it still has snows on it because there was no sense in incurring the cost to take them off). It has the technology package (with navigation) but I did not list it that way because the navigation screen does not work anymore. You can see from the pics there are scratches, scrapes and some rust. The selling point is the engine is truly in great shape. I think in one of the pics you can even see the codes still imprinted on one of the belts (I always have all belts and hoses replaced with timing belt) Please let me know if you have any questions. There is NO RESERVE PRICE on this auction. Thank you. Pete
