Up for sale is my nice 2001 BMW 540i with the Sport Package (NOT an M5) with a 6-speed manual transmission. I have owned the vehicle since 2012 and purchased it with about 109k, it now has about 146k, I don't drive a lot. The car has averaged a very low 8,600 miles per year. The car is equipped with navigation (although I don't have the discs for it), sunroof, leather, the BMW Premium sound system, Homelink, automatic dual zone climate control, power everything, and I wired in an iPhone hook up that retained steering wheel control of volume and music tracks. It's pretty clean for it's age and in the right light looks like a million bucks, but it is 17 years old, so please do not expect perfection. The outside is good with the exception of the clear coat is dull on the front driver side fender, it's not peeling and it never bothered me too much. Inside the vehicle is in very good condition and does not show it's age. Non-smoker. No rips in leather, no funny smells. In the five years I've owned it, I've replaced a good number of parts. I've recently purchased a 2nd new key from BMW (vehicle comes with two keys and a printed owners manual), $153. Alternator was done at 130k, $355. Power steering pump and belt done at 132k, $455. Various coolant parts at 122k, $606. Valve cover gaskets and new spark plugs done at 114k, $332. New power steering reservoir and two new power steering lines within the last 500 miles and a new hood release cable, about $175. Also 4 brand new tires with less than 1k miles on them. I have receipts for all of that work. I have also replaced the majority of the front suspension (Bilstien dampers, control arms, sway bar links, etc.) with in the last two years but I cannot find the receipt. Also replaced the rear ball joints and sway bar links. Lots of minor things too, like the gasket around the windshield (not a sealing gasket, it's for ascetics), the gaskets over the headlights. The minor issues with the car is that it does leak a bit of oil, not a lot, and I've monitored it over my 5k miles fully synthetic oil changes and it looses less than half a quart (8 quart capacity) between changes. Again it's 17 years old. The previously mentioned dull clear coat on the drives side fender and the wheels are mismatched from a color perspective, an easy fix.
