Vehicle Detail
The summer of 1967. Vietnam, racial tensions and on the west coast, the summer of love. I was 15. Up for bid is a relic from 1967. A 1967 Honda CA160 Dream. I took this bike into my shop in 2013 as near junk, but it had a valid title. I decided to restore a "finesse" bike, reminiscent of what I thought would be a cool bike back in the day. This bike was put back together with as many original parts as possible. Some parts were chemically cleaned and reused. Detail as follows: Modern up to date Georgia issued Title. Currently registered and insured. All painted metal parts-sandblasted, repairs as needed, automotive grade primer and paint (with hardener) applied.Engine completely disassembled, cleaned, cases hand polished. New rings, wrist pins and seals. (very small oil leak about 1-2ml per month.) Wiring unwrapped, turn signal wires installed, automotive multi-wire plugs installed, then re-wrapped.Custom finesse engineered turn signals. Note: 1967 Honda's did not have turn signals. One (1) Right, One (Left) front handlebars, Two (2) Right, Two (2) Left back of bike.Custom mounted solo seat. Check out mounts. One of a kind mounting system. High carbon bearing steel mount base across vintage an additional retro fitted shock mount.New tires, tubes, spokes. Original rims with some dents and scratches.New CB160 Carb. Modern Air Filter.New cables1959-1963 CA95 Tank with original knee pads. Tank was cleaned and a Harley Bung and petcock installed. The tank bottom had a few pin hole leaks so the tank was silver soldered, the interior was sealed. The outside bottom of the tank has 1/4" fiberglass. Tank does not leak. All wheel bearings cleaned and greased with aerospace grade grease. New chain and sprockets. Chain is lubricated with high end medical grade oil. The lubrication will last years. The bike comes with vintage Buco Twinmaster Saddlebags!Custom Saddlebag Mounts. Mounts are painted.Custom L.E.D. Visored Lights w mounts.Bearing steel mounting systemWired Red Running Lights-Amber Turn SignalsBags painted with automotive grade paint with hardener.Note: The bags have been repaired as indicated in pictures. The battery is two years old. I keep the battery on a tender. The bike runs strong. She kick starts faster than using the electric starter. The starter was cleaned and lubricated. This bike is 51 years old, built as a relic of the 60's, by a relic of the 60's. Please continue to read below. Mileage on odometer is incorrect. Less than 100 miles on the rebuilt bike as a whole.
