After Hurricane Irma, lots of cars got totaled for salvage flood. While most of them were indeed flooded, some got totaled for no other reason but overworked insurance adjustors. Thousands of cars got written off " by zip code", without a proper inspection of assessment of damage. Using my 15-year experience in this field, I made it my job to find these cars, identify the ones with little to no damage, and bring them for sale to the public. I have now a group of so-called " flood cars" that underwent a rigorous inspection, are operating as new, and they are now offered for sale. The vehicle you are looking at has a Florida Certificate of Destruction. It may also be considered Junked Titled, or Salvage Non-Rebuildable in other states. It can not be legally titled in FL, and it will present a difficulty to title in many other states. I can transfer the vehicle's ownership, but I can not help with registration. I had a lot of customers in Kentucky who were able to register and title these types of cars in the recent past. This almost new 2017 GMC Sierra SLE 1500 is coming from Green Cove Springs, FL. During the last year’s storm, fresh water came to about the wheel hub lever and the truck was considered a total loss. The water never got inside the truck. After purchasing the vehicle from the insurance company, we did a rigorous inspection, including taking out the carpet, and there was no damage found. THIS TRUCK WAS NOT FLOODED. There is zero evidence of water intrusion even under the car. One of the pictures taken under the driver's seat proves no water intrusion. My mechanic and I can not understand why the insurance company decided to write this off. Their loss, your gain. I have bought the truck with about 1800 miles and I have been driving it, it has 5000 miles today. I have been trying not to put miles on it although it is very tempting to drive a new truck. The truck still smells new inside and has absolutely no defects or damage.
